Self-Developed 5-Axis Gantry Machining Centers

All Feiyin CNC precision machining is performed on large-format 5-axis gantry machining centers designed and built by our parent company, Ningqing Air & Space Intelligent Equipment. This self-developed capability is the foundation of Feiyin's competitive advantage in aerospace and precision manufacturing. Every machine is engineered for maximum rigidity, thermal stability, and dynamic accuracy across extended machining envelopes.

The tool setter is fixed on the bed to reduce measurement errors. Paired with absolute value linear scales to improve machine accuracy. Electric spindle design features RTV5A630/800 and RTV5A400 models, with turning and milling compound functionality. Optional turning tool holders make light turning operations easy.

03

BMI5A3020

Bridge-Type Mobile Dual-Swing Head Five-Axis CNC Gantry Machining Center

The equipment uses a dual gantry structure, offering excellent high-speed mobility. The whole machine is made of castings, providing high rigidity and long-lasting stability during extended processing.

The bridge uses a box-in-box symmetrical design to evenly distribute cutting forces, structurally preventing tipping issues. The guideway base is modular, and our factory’s exclusive assembly technique ensures precision.

The machine comes with an HSD high-performance five-axis swing head, allowing the workpiece to undergo multi-angle milling, drilling, and other complex operations in just one setup. It’s the ideal choice for high-efficiency machining of aluminum alloy new energy battery trays.

04

GMI4025

Longmen Mobile Gantry Series

With an integrated structure, three-axis composite guide rails with hardened rails, fixed worktable, and a moving gantry, it takes up little space, has strong load capacity, and high torque.

The Z-axis uses a 490X320 composite guide square slide, replacing traditional strip ways with linear guides to greatly improve guiding accuracy while maintaining the rigidity of the square slide, making it especially suitable for heavy cutting and machining tough materials.

In the Y-direction, we use our proprietary composite guide technology, with two heavy-duty linear guides plus a rectangular guide in both directions, effectively preventing the gantry from tipping during rapid moves and cutting.

CONTROL SYSTEMS

Siemens SINUMERIK one system

As the "brain" of the machine tool, it handles motion control and digital integration. Its features include: - Providing a virtual machine (digital twin) for offline simulation. - Integrating smart functions like collision avoidance, online measurement, and adaptive machining. - Enhancing operational efficiency through a customized interface.

Heidenhain TNC640

The TNC640 is Heidenhain's high-end CNC system, especially suited for high-performance milling machines and five-axis machining. The system integrates features like Advanced Dynamic Prediction (ADP), which can significantly boost machining efficiency and surface finish. This is super important for aerospace parts like aircraft skins and cabin doors that require top-notch surface quality.

Ningqing System

Basic configuration: 64GB RAM, 2TB storage, 16-core processor. Supports the most complex 5-axis machining and real-time simulation. Full-featured process platform, supports custom development. Optional process platform and measurement features.

Precision Inspection & Metrology

AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT

Feiyin CNC maintains a comprehensive metrology lab staffed by certified quality engineers. Every inspection instrument is calibrated to ISO 17025 standards and traceable to national measurement laboratories.

Three-Axis Laser Inspection

Every machine from Ningqing is calibrated using a laser interferometer from RENISHAW in the UK, precisely checking and compensating for lead error, backlash, positioning accuracy, and repeatability to ensure the machine's dynamic and static stability as well as machining precision.

Ball Bar Inspection

Every machine uses the ball bar from Renishaw in the UK to check the roundness accuracy and the machine’s geometric precision. At the same time, circular cutting tests are conducted to ensure the machine’s 3D machining accuracy and roundness.

Finite Element Analysis

The machine tool design collaborates with well-known domestic universities, using internationally advanced finite element analysis calculations to ensure that the machine tool's dynamic and static characteristics are reasonable, the load is appropriate, and the load distribution is uniform.

Autocollimator

An autocollimator is an instrument that uses optical collimation principles to perform precise measurements. It can measure tiny angular deviations and straightness with extremely high accuracy. It's commonly used to check the straightness of machine tool guides and to verify the flatness of large workpiece mounting surfaces, making it a key tool for ensuring the final accuracy of equipment.

Blue Light Inspection

1. Check and evenly allocate the leftover material before processing 2. Quickly check leftover material and deformation during processing 3. Check dimensions and accuracy after processing

3-Axis/5-Axis Online Measurement

1. Measurement point program output, convenient and fast 2. More accurate inspection results 3. Automatic online measurement, convenient, fast, and accurate 4. Result output and comparison 5. Automatic compensation

PROCESSING PROCEDURE

Our 7-step process is engineered for aerospace precision manufacturing. Every step is documented and quality-checked before proceeding to the next.

01

Drawing & RFQ Upload

Customer uploads CAD files (STEP, IGES, PDF, DWG) via RFQ form or email. Feiyin engineering team reviews and conducts DFM analysis within 48 hours. A firm quotation with delivery commitment is issued.

02

DFM Review & Process Planning

Our process engineers develop the machining strategy: fixture design, tooling selection, cutting parameters (speeds, feeds, depths), and CAM programming in UG/NX, Mastercam, Hypermill, or CATIA V5. Critical features are identified and process capability targets (Cpk ≥ 1.33) are established.

03

Material Verification (IQC)

Raw material is verified against purchase order: material grade, heat number, hardness, dimensional stock check, and surface condition. Material certificates are logged and linked to the job traveler. No production begins until IQC is approved.

04

CNC Machining — Roughing

First operation: high-speed roughing to within 1-2mm of final dimension. Roughing parameters optimized to minimize heat input and work hardening. Tool life is monitored; broken tool detection is active throughout.

05

CNC Machining — Semi-Finishing & Finishing

Semi-finishing brings critical features to within 0.05-0.1mm. First-off part is CMM-verified before batch continues. Finishing pass achieves final dimension and surface finish. High-pressure coolant throughout for thermal control.

06

 CMM Inspection & Quality Sign-Off

Full CMM inspection of all critical dimensions per drawing specification. Temperature-compensated measurement at 20°C reference. Data is recorded and compared against Cpk targets. AS9102 FAI report generated for aerospace parts.

07

Documentation, Packaging & Shipping

Final visual inspection, surface finish check, packaging (VCI film + foam), and documentation assembly (CoC, material cert, CMM report, FAI). Shipping arranged per Incoterms. Full traceability package follows the part.
